Sal and I had a great time at this reading group meeting! Good conversation and great food! Our thanks to Christina for coordinating the event. Sincerest thanks to Jean for hosting the event in her beautiful home; and to Stacy, Pat, Marti, Lisa and Bernadette for all the wonderful discussion.

It has become more and more popular for book clubs to ask authors to come and speak. We love doing this, because we can have more time answering questions people have about writing in general and about my books.

Please feel free to email Sal or me to schedule your own event. Go to the web site at www.kspirito.com and click on either email address (on the center panel of the home page).

This coming Saturday, February 19, 2011 I will be at the Barnes & Noble Bookseller in Salem, NH at 2:00pm. This is the fifth time we have been at this incredible book store since September! Last time we sold out in less than an hour. Come early!

After this event I’ll remind you about Kathryn LoConte’s event at the Manchester, NH B&N and tell you about my next visit to The Toadstool Bookshops in Milford, NH in early March!

This whole week has been filled with birthday greetings and visits! I thank each and every one of you for your warm wishes!

Not to take away from all the friends and family with who I have had the pleasure of enjoying, the highlight of my birthday was Sal & I having lunch with our goddaughter, Beth Alice and her Mom & Dad!

We had a wonderful lunch and visit and received a family picture and a couple of pictures of Beth.

Here’s one…

We Love You, Beth and look forward to you being through with all of the medical treatments and returning to your normal routines.

It has become more and more popular for book clubs to ask authors to come and speak. We love doing this, because we can have more time answering questions people have about writing in general and about my books. Our thanks to Christina for setting up the evvent this Friday!

After this event we will be at the Barnes & Noble, in Salem, NH on February 19, 2011 at 2:00pm.

We have another Barnes & Noble and two of the Toadstool Bookshops booked also. I’ll tell you about them next!

I will return to the Barnes & Noble in Salem, NH on February 19, 2011, at 2:00pm, for the fifth time since September 2010! We have grown an amazing following in the area and our sincere thanks to Mary Ellen for bring us back!

Sal has booked the first book signing event ever for Kathryn (LoConte) Lapierre  at the Barnes & Noble in Manchester, NH on February 26, 2011, at 2:00pm. Katy published SEARCHING FOR SAFFRON through A Snowy Day Distribution & Publishing in 2010, but kept her circulation of the book to word of mouth, due to a November, 2010 wedding and a honeymoon that took her and Randall to Fiji, New Zealand and Australia in January, 2011. Katy had traveled to six continents before writing SEARCHING FOR SAFFRON, a book of short stories telling of the experiences and events of Anna Collins, as she travels around the globe from country to country. It’s a fun book and an easy read. Sal and I hope you come out to support this fresh, young, New Hampshire talent. We’re sure that you’ll hear more from Katy before long!

Like my books SEARCHING FOR SAFFRON is also available on Kindle and Nook.

I’ll tell you about more bookstore events, another author Sal is publishing, and a re-publishing of one of my earlier books next time.

Sal and I hope you had the Merriest Christmas, the Happiest Holidays, and that you all have the best year ever in 2011!

Sal and I are thankful to all of you who made 2010 the best business year ever for my books and made A Snowy Day Distribution & Publishing have an amazing first year in business!

This week we have a couple of book club events. One in a private residence and one at the Barnes & Noble Salem store, which has been incredible to us! Sincerest of thanks to Mary Ellen for her hosting us three times last year and for hosting the upcoming Windham Book Club event!

I’ve been working on a re-write of YESTERDAY, TOMMY GRAY DROWNED. It’s the only book not yet available on Nook and Kindle, because we lost the electronic copy several years back. And I couldn’t see just typing in the existing content, since I believe my writing style has grown in the ten years since it was written. When it’s done we will publish it for Kindle and Nook and also re-publish it in print through A Snowy Day Distribution & Publishing.

I have more going on, but will save it for another day. I will get more postings done in 2011 than the last half of 2010. At least that’s my plan!

Visit my blog at www.kspirito.wordpress.com for the first notice of anything happening with Sal and me.

Talk to you soon!

We were supposed to be at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Salem, NH From 1:00pm to 3:00pm on December 18, 2010, but we sold out in one hour!

Thanks to all who attended for making the Last Event of 2010 for Summer And August, A Cape Cod Murder Mystery an incredible success!

This was a bodacious way to end 2010! An amazing turn-out, for our third visit to the Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Salem, NH this year!

If you are still looking for autographed books for yourself, or as gifts this holiday season, and the store you visit is out please don’t hesitate to email me at http://www.kspirito.com and I will meet you with my books.

We had an encore event at the Manchester, NH Barnes & Noble Booksellers this past Friday, December 10, 2010 and once again our fans were wonderful and supportive. Our thanks to Karen and Claire for hosting this event!

This coming Saturday, December 18, 2010 will be the last event for 2010. As incredible as the response to Summer And August has been I am truly humbled by our returning to the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Salem, NH for our third time for Summer And August this Saturday! Sincere thanks to Mary Ellen for asking us back!

On a more serious note, all of the success for Summer And August has been wonderful, but overshadowed during the past couple of months because of the heartbreaking journey our four-year-old godchild, Beth, has been on.

Mid October, during a routine exam, Beth’s Doctor  found a suspicious enlargement in her abdomen.  A CT at CHAD four days later confirmed renal tumor and lesions on both lungs.

After one operation and both Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments during the past two months, Beth now faces more surgery to remove lesions on her lungs. Please keep Beth in your thoughts and prayers.

Sal and I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We shared ours with our children and grandchildren, which is enough to give thanks for, but we also were able to celebrate the 17th birthday of our grandson, Christopher!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was the 17th Annual Winter Holiday Stroll, in Nashua, NH!. Sal & I have participated every year since it started!

The following Saturday was the Spirit of the Season Christmas Parade, in Manchester, NH. Mickey Blue Eyes, Sal & I marched with the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter. We handed out hundreds of candy-canes and homemade dog biscuits that Holly made. There were around a dozen dogs participating and everyone’s dogs were well behaved. We had an incredible time! This parade will be the 1st Saturday in December at 4:00pm again next year.

Here are just a few pictures…

Christopher blowing out the candles of his birthday cake, with his uncle  and cousin in the background.

There were over eighty groups in the Manchester, NH Parade. We marched with the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter. The Duhaime family carried the banner.

Here is Mickey Blue Eyes, anxious to go!

Here is Mickey Blue Eyes, around the halfway point. We were behind the NH Roller Derby group.

We stopped numerous times, for Mickey Blue Eyes to greet children along the route. She had a great time! And a great night’s sleep!

On November 13th, we participated at the 29th Annual Holiday Fair at the Thornton’s Ferry School in Merrimack, NH. We had an incredible turn-out for this event! Our special thanks to Eve, who bought 2 books from us at this event last year and bought 2 more this year. And to Margaret, who just met us at this event and bought 4 books! To everyone who came out to this bodacious event. And to Mary for inviting us back this year.

On November 18th I am guest speaker at the Bedford Women’s Club. This is an honor I am looking forward to!

And on November 20th, we participate at the 33rd Annual Yuletide Fair at the Co-operative Middle School in Stratham, NH. This has been the biggest single event for us for many years. Come on out and see.

Then, I actually get a week off for Thanksgiving!
