We always have a bodacious time at the Toadstool Bookshops. And we really appreciate Don inviting us back! So many great readers in the Keene, NH area. Thank you for your support.

In addition to Summer And August, A Cape Cod Murder Mystery we featured Time Has A Way and Candy-Colored Clown which were just re-published by A Snowy Day Distribution & Publishing!

Another surprise will be announced here in my next posting.

We always enjoy our visits to the Toadstool Bookshops.  And we really appreciate the readers who come out to support our community book stores!  These are truly great places and we need to keep them going forever!

Our sincere appreciation to Regina, Brian, Tammy, Jan, and all the wonderful folks at The Toadstool Bookshops in Milford, NH! And our thanks to all of you newcomers to the LaRosa Chronicles!

This coming Saturday, March 12, 2011 we return to the Toadstool in  Keene, NH. I’m looking forward to seeing many old friends and meeting many new friends at this event, including Franklin Pierce Alumni.
See you there!

Sal and I had a great time at this reading group meeting! Good conversation and great food! Our thanks to Christina for coordinating the event. Sincerest thanks to Jean for hosting the event in her beautiful home; and to Stacy, Pat, Marti, Lisa and Bernadette for all the wonderful discussion.

It has become more and more popular for book clubs to ask authors to come and speak. We love doing this, because we can have more time answering questions people have about writing in general and about my books.

Please feel free to email Sal or me to schedule your own event. Go to the web site at and click on either email address (on the center panel of the home page).

This coming Saturday, February 19, 2011 I will be at the Barnes & Noble Bookseller in Salem, NH at 2:00pm. This is the fifth time we have been at this incredible book store since September! Last time we sold out in less than an hour. Come early!

After this event I’ll remind you about Kathryn LoConte’s event at the Manchester, NH B&N and tell you about my next visit to The Toadstool Bookshops in Milford, NH in early March!

Continue to spread the word to your e-reader friends that my books are available on Nook & Kindle!

Sal and I had a wonderful evening at the Salem, NH Barnes & Noble talking with The Windham Newcomers and Friends “Book Bites” Reading Group.

Sincerest thanks to Sandy and Dyan for inviting us to met with the reading group and to the Salem, NH B&N Community Relations Manager, Mary Ellen, for hosting this event!

We talked about LaRosa Chronicles, A Snowy Day Distribution & Publishing, writing, book titles, cover design, and so much more. If the store didn’t close at 10:00pm we might still be talking!

Windham Newcomers is a non-profit group whose ultimate mission is to promote social activities for women who are new in town, as well as established residents who would like to form new friendships and expand personal interests and activities. Sal and I truly feel we made many new friends at this meeting!

There is much more going on, including another private book club meeting this week, but I will save that for another day.

Here are a few pictures of some of our new friends from The Windham Newcomers and Friends “Book Bites” Reading Group!

Talk to you soon!

We had a wonderful Christmas and hope you did too!

Make this a safe and fun New Year’s Eve and visit this blog and/or my website after the 1st to see what we have going in 2011.

Thanks to all who helped to make  2010 an incredible success for Summer And August, A Cape Cod Murder Mystery!

Remember, six of my books are available on Nook and Kindle!

We were supposed to be at the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Salem, NH From 1:00pm to 3:00pm on December 18, 2010, but we sold out in one hour!

Thanks to all who attended for making the Last Event of 2010 for Summer And August, A Cape Cod Murder Mystery an incredible success!

This was a bodacious way to end 2010! An amazing turn-out, for our third visit to the Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Salem, NH this year!

If you are still looking for autographed books for yourself, or as gifts this holiday season, and the store you visit is out please don’t hesitate to email me at and I will meet you with my books.

And remember, six of my books are available on Nook and Kindle!

We had an encore event at the Manchester, NH Barnes & Noble Booksellers this past Friday, December 10, 2010 and once again our fans were wonderful and supportive. Our thanks to Karen and Claire for hosting this event!

This coming Saturday, December 18, 2010 will be the last event for 2010. As incredible as the response to Summer And August has been I am truly humbled by our returning to the Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Salem, NH for our third time for Summer And August this Saturday! Sincere thanks to Mary Ellen for asking us back!

On a more serious note, all of the success for Summer And August has been wonderful, but overshadowed during the past couple of months because of the heartbreaking journey our four-year-old godchild, Beth, has been on.

Mid October, during a routine exam, Beth’s Doctor  found a suspicious enlargement in her abdomen.  A CT at CHAD four days later confirmed renal tumor and lesions on both lungs.

After one operation and both Chemotherapy and Radiation treatments during the past two months, Beth now faces more surgery to remove lesions on her lungs. Please keep Beth in your thoughts and prayers.

Sal and I hope you and yours had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We shared ours with our children and grandchildren, which is enough to give thanks for, but we also were able to celebrate the 17th birthday of our grandson, Christopher!

The Saturday after Thanksgiving was the 17th Annual Winter Holiday Stroll, in Nashua, NH!. Sal & I have participated every year since it started!

The following Saturday was the Spirit of the Season Christmas Parade, in Manchester, NH. Mickey Blue Eyes, Sal & I marched with the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter. We handed out hundreds of candy-canes and homemade dog biscuits that Holly made. There were around a dozen dogs participating and everyone’s dogs were well behaved. We had an incredible time! This parade will be the 1st Saturday in December at 4:00pm again next year.

Here are just a few pictures…

There were over eighty groups in the Manchester, NH Parade. We marched with the Friends of the Manchester Animal Shelter. The Duhaime family carried the banner.

Here is Mickey Blue Eyes, anxious to go!

Here is Mickey Blue Eyes, around the halfway point. We were behind the NH Roller Derby group.

We stopped numerous times, for Mickey Blue Eyes to greet children along the route. She had a great time! And a great night’s sleep!

On November 18th, Sal and I were guests at the Bedford Women’s Club, Bedford, NH. We spoke to around seventy-five members about our novels and about A Snowy Day Distribution & Publishing. We had a wonderful time and I believe our visit was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

The Bedford Women’s Club was founded in 1905 as the Child Study Circle and has since served in the interest of community charities. In the early 1940s a scholarship committee was initiated and in 1949 the name was changed to the Bedford Women’s Club (BWC).

Today they enjoy a long history of many delightful women offering their time, talents, and energy toward the continuation of the organization and to benefit the Bedford, NH community.

Here is a picture, left to right, of Terry, me, Sal & Jackie.

Here are a couple of additional pictures of all the bodacious BWC members.

Our sincere thanks to the Bedford Women’s Club for having us, and especially to Terry and Jackie for asking us to participate and making us feel at home!

For more information about the Bedford Women’s Club visit:

On November 13th, we participated at the 29th Annual Holiday Fair at the Thornton’s Ferry School in Merrimack, NH. We had an incredible turn-out for this event! Our special thanks to Eve, who bought 2 books from us at this event last year and bought 2 more this year. And to Margaret, who just met us at this event and bought 4 books! To everyone who came out to this bodacious event. And to Mary for inviting us back this year.

On November 18th I am guest speaker at the Bedford Women’s Club. This is an honor I am looking forward to!

And on November 20th, we participate at the 33rd Annual Yuletide Fair at the Co-operative Middle School in Stratham, NH. This has been the biggest single event for us for many years. Come on out and see.

Then, I actually get a week off for Thanksgiving!
